Top properties: View’s November Recap



Beautifully renovated period homes and indoor-outdoor living stood out in November, with summer entertaining no doubt at the forefront of buyers’ minds.  Here are some of the top properties which changed hands over the past month.

Victoria

Port Melbourne – $1.753 million

An impeccably modern interior lies behind the double-fronted façade of this gorgeous Victorian home, which sold for $1.753 million last month. A third double bedroom and second toilet helped set it apart from similar properties in the area.

Port Melbourne – $2.3 million

It’s little wonder this stunning parkside home achieved a sale price of $2.3 million.  Not only does it have four spacious bedrooms, high ceilings and a double garage, it’s also within the Albert Park College school catchment and minutes from the cafes and shops on Bay Street.

Melbourne – $2.25 million

The new owners of this St Kilda Road apartment are sure to enjoy the uninterrupted views of the MCG, Albert Park Lake and the Melbourne city skyline from the wraparound balcony when they move in! In the sought-after Kingstoun building, which boasts a gym, pool and tennis court, it sold for $2.25 million.

New South Wales

Freshwater – $5.4 million

Just steps from the beach, this original seaside cottage in Freshwater went on the market for the first time in forty years last month, and sold for $5.4 million. With a bright, north-facing garden and three spacious bedrooms, it’s the perfect place for the new owners to carve out their dream home.

Paddington – $5.1 million

This Paddington terrace is the perfect mix of old and new, with modern luxuries such as a spectacular lap pool, as well as a classic grand library as a nod to yesteryear. It even boasts a self-contained one-bedroom cottage and poolside pavilion. It sold for $5.1 million.

Cheltenham – $4.31 million

Tasmania

Otago – $1.56 million

Even the agent was blown away by the spectacular views, location and presentation of this unique home, which sold for $1.56 million last month. With a private jetty and boat house, four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and is just fifteen minutes from town – it’s hard not to be jealous of the lucky new owners!

South Australia

Windsor Gardens – $1.001 million

This gorgeous 100-year-old family-built property in Windsor Gardens broke the million-dollar mark when it was auctioned in November, and is full of potential. It will be interesting to see what plans the new owners have for the heritage home, conservatory and shed, which are ripe for rejuvenation!

Hove – $1.285 million

This beautifully renovated, four-bedroom home in Hove achieved almost $300,000 over the price guide in November, selling for $1.285 million. It’s easy to see why—it’s full of character, with all the modern conveniences, and the location is second to none.

Royston Park – $1.405 million

On the classic Australian quarter-acre block, this Royston Park home has been stylishly extended and now boasts a granite kitchen, pool and spa. Western Australia

Herbert – $650,000
