The Truffiere has produced black truffles for the past seven winters, producing
30 kg last year and increasing output each season, doubling in the last four years.
Local Australian Truffles are in great demand and a large clientele base exists eager to snap up these delights on mass every season.
The FARM features 36 hectares (88 acres) of clean, rolling pasture currently stocking 45 head of cattle. There are two titles, 9 separate paddocks with a laneway system complete with a holding paddock. The farm has had no pesticides or chemical fertilizers used since the owners has been improving the soil though organic methods using rotational grazing and the sowing of clover and rye pasture producing amazing results.
There is reticulated WATER to the orchard, house garden and vegetable/berry patch. The Berry patch produces raspberries strawberries, thornless blackberries, currants and gooseberries. Various herbs and vegetables are planted on and around the green house. The orchard boasts approx. 20 established fruit trees, including pears, 3 types, apples, 6 types, lemons, 2 types, French plums, 3 types, quince, walnut, persimmon and kiwi.
